And because of its versatility, Halwa has been adopted across many Indian cultures - from Gajar Halwa in North India, to Badam Halwa in Rajasthan, to Sheera in the West to Rawa Kesari in the South. Halwa is enjoyed as a snack or dessert anytime, and especially while celebrating special occasions such as festivals, marriages, births, milestone achievements and birthdays.
As Halwa is a healthy and nutritious dessert, it is loved by mothers and children alike. Halwa Craft's founder also wanted to feed his toddler some Halwa and realized that good quality halwa is not readily available nor are there enough flavour choices. Moreover, with our busy 21st century lifestyles, cooking Halwa at home is also cumbersome and has become rare.

The Halwa Craft logo depicts the traditional kadhai (wok) used for making Halwa. The Halwa Craft brand is owned by Zendition Pvt. Ltd., a company based in Mumbai. "Zendition" is a portmanteau of Zen and Rendition - our idea is to bring our own "zen" interpretation on a much loved traditional dessert. The company was set up in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic by an ex-investment banker who is an ivy league graduate and an MBA from the Indian School of Business.
